In Georgia , we have a hidden treasure - 100 miles of coastline! One Hundred Miles Executive Director, Megan Desrosiers was our Program Speaker in October and encouraged our club to get involved preserving our coastline. The one way we are doing this is by using social media to post a photo of our group in the salt marsh holding a sign saying why we cherish our marshes. The photos are called "Marshies", a mash up of selfie and marsh. The 'Marshies' will help raise awareness and support for restoring a key marsh protection, the marsh buffer.
